I’m Ingrid Schaffenburg, a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and National Certified Counselor, providing virtual therapy throughout Texas. Choosing a therapist is a very personal experience. Here you can learn a little about me and my therapeutic approach.

 

I currently work with adult women 18 years old and up. What you’ll find in sessions with me is a very compassionate, nonjudgmental, and caring environment. I strive to ensure you feel heard and understood.

 

At my foundation, I am a Person-centered clinician who believes that you are your own expert and that you possess the capacity to heal and grow. As your therapist, I will guide and facilitate our sessions but ultimately, you are in control.

 

If needed, I can facilitate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. As an EMDRIA trained EMDR therapist, I help your brain and body do what it’s meant to do naturally- which is heal. This therapy is rooted in neuroscience, backed by extensive research, and is widely used to treat conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and PTSD. In addition to EMDR, I use various therapeutic approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and mindfulness.

Individual therapy sessions are $95 for a 50-minute session. I do have a limited number of slots available for sliding scale. Please let me know when we speak if you're interested in a sliding scale fee.

Want to see if this therapy is a fit for you? Book a 30-minute session for $40 where we'll discuss your needs and a potential treatment plan. This session is only valid for new clients.

 

As an LPC-A in Texas I can accept Cigna and Aetna insurance under my supervisor. Credit cards are accepted for self-pay clients.

In addition to online counseling, I am also a school-based therapist in White Settlement and Fort Worth ISD schools through Invicta Services Group. I work with children 4 - 10 years old.
